There are generally two opinions when it comes to lipgloss: too sticky or too slick. Both thoughts have their pros and cons; as the sticky gloss may be uncomfortable but will be longer-lasting, and the gloss with more slip might have a nice feel on the lips but wear off within the hour. In this spectrum of lip gloss textures and longevities, there is a small niche of those right in the middle of these opinions. Benefit has made their lip glosses to fit right in this space, boasting about smooth application and a silky, luxurious texture.

Today I’ll be reviewing Sugarbomb. It is a nice shimmery nude, so if sparkle and shimmer aren’t your thing I’d say pass on this one. I find this to be one of my MLBB shades in lipgloss, the shimmer in it gives my lips a subtle pop. FYI, the term “MLBB” means “my lips but better”. The shimmer in this doesn’t make the gloss gritty, as that happens with some glitter/shimmer shades. It is fairly pigmented, which is usually the case for nude glosses. The point is to enhance your natural lip color, not completely change it. Sugarbomb is also scented, but I cannot figure out what it is scented as. It smells good though! This is easy to apply, it comes in a squeeze tube with an angled applicator. Finally, longevity: Lasts around 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours before needing another application, otherwise the color is gone and your lips are just covered in shimmer. Wears off quicker with food and drink, but most glosses do that too.
So now on to the pros and cons. Pros: non-sticky, nice texture. Color is exactly as described, sheer, shimmery nude. Pleasant scent, easy applicator. Cons: wears off rather quickly, feels slightly heavy.
