Whether it’s the boozy punch you get from Sparkly Pumpkin, or the peppery snap from Lord of Misrule, all of Lush’s Halloween products have that “kick”. With Nightwing, it’s a clean citrus K.O.
This deep blue, near black shower jelly is described as a “fang-tastic fruity treat to put the bite back into bath time”. While I wouldn’t really classify this as a fruity scent, it is definitely is a treat. The best way to describe Nightwing’s fragrance is that it’s like lime jello and green jelly beans had a baby. It has that candy sweet lime from the jellybeans, and that true, semi medicinal lime from the jello. Lime juice and lime oil are definitely the stars here, as this jelly is straight up citrus. Aloe Vera Gel cools the skin and provides a cleaner note, while Carob Syrup adds a dose of sweetness. I like to think of Nightwing as Calacas’ cooler older sibling. This fragrance is very addicting, and I’m really hoping Lush will use it again in some other products.
Nightwing smells phenomenal, but can we please take a moment and look at this little jelly?
It’s a bat! Well, mine is an out-of-shape bat (darn those messy edges!), but it is still so adorable! And if you were wondering if this has any Batman references, you’re correct:
Ah, I just love the little hidden messages under the stickers, so cute!
Now, how exactly do you use a shower jelly? The most common (and also a bit wasteful) way is to use it straight out of the tub. If you’re looking to get more bang for your buck, I suggest cutting the jelly up into pieces. You can get around 20 pieces per pot. Take a piece, lather it up in a washcloth or loofa, and you’re good to go! I do insist that with Nightwing you use a loofa rather than washcloth, as the dye can stain the fabric.
This little bat is a stunner, one that you definitely shouldn’t pass up on. It creates great lather, and that delectable lime scent lingers on the skin. Nightwing will be flying off into the night after October 31st, so pick one up here in the US or here in the UK.
