Goodness, is there anything Colourpop hasn’t been doing lately? They have been on a roll with collaborations, just a few weeks ago we were given some new lippies from the lovely Raye Boyce (ItsMyRayeRaye), last week Kathleen Lights released 4 more eyeshadows and 2 lippie stix, and there have been hints about Karrueche Tran designing some products as well. However, their most recent collab wasn’t with a Youtuber or Makeup Guru, it was with an organization. No Kill Los Angeles (NKLA) is an initiative by the Best Friends Animal Society that focuses on reducing and ultimately ending the killing of animals in Los Angeles shelters. All of the proceeds from this product goes to the NKLA initiative. If you were wondering why only LA, why not ASPCA or something; Colourpop is a Los Angeles-based brand, and it’s a cause that’s very close to the company. 🙂
Puppy Love is a pinkish-nude with peachy-golden duo chrome shimmer. This is such a universal shade that looks great on every complexion, it’s very “champagne-esque”. You can wear Puppy Love all on it’s own or over other shades; it makes a great transformer shadow. As with the other Super Shock Shadows, this has the famous creamy-powder texture and long-wear finish. My favorite way to wear Puppy Love is as a highlight on the center of my lid, although you could use it as a slightly strong brow bone highlight too. What makes this shadow even better? It’s $5, and all of that goes directly to NKLA. It is still available on their site here, but act fast because Puppy Love will be gone in a flash!
